Running the greatest of all STEM

Hello, my name is Shon Golod and I am going into my second year in the biochemistry course. As the former Well-Being officer I can proudly state that I am experienced and well organised in regards to running and creating events.

Throughout my life I worked with numerous organisations such as WWF, TEDX, and other local fundraisers/charities. I have accumulated hundreds of hours organising and creating events that not only support a good charitable cause but also brought joy and unity to all people involved. Continuing this journey in university as the well-being officer allowed me to further my abilities leading to an improved experience for my fellow committee members and general members of the society.

In my first year in this society we managed to organise numerous events such as: pubcrawls, quiz nights, movie nights, bake sales, and one of the biggest balls accommodating 400+ people. I believe it is really important to have a balance when it comes to the events, this balance was created through a somewhat equal number of both social and academic events.

Similarly to last year the goal of this years biochemistry society committee is to create an environment in which all students can enjoy, grow, and most importantly unite on a social and emotional level. As an embassador of this society I truly believe in altruism as the epitome of a truly united community. I believe that as this years treasurer I can use the skills and experience I've harnessed over the years to continue the incredible run that our previous committee had.

With the help of my fellow committee members I promise to bring an incredible year full of events for our beloved KCL students. I hope to go above and beyond and welcome all new members into the Biochemistry family!
