Rossel Ahmad

Salam everyone, my name is Rossel and I’m a first-year medical student. I am pleased to announce that I am running for the position of Vice President for 2022/2023.

My achievements:

I was one of the 5 founders of the Black, Asian and Middle Eastern community as well as the co-founder of MedSoc in my Sixth form. I was responsible for advertising, planning events, delegating tasks and contacting potential guests to improve the quality of the events hosted. This improved my leadership, teamwork and decision making skills. I am willing to be flexible and learn how the KCLSU works to make the most out of my experience.

My goals:

One of my main goals is to build strong connections not only with my team members and other societies at King’s but also with external organisations to ensure that the growth of ArabSoc is never-ending. Furthermore, I think that creating events that not only bring joy and happiness to the attendees but also educate them more about the middle east and bring them closer to their culture. Finally, my biggest goal will be to increase the charity connections even more.

Responsibilities as VP:

I am aware that the current presidents will be extremely busy next year, I am prepared to take most of their responsibility as I will be the next point of call. I will ensure to be a good communicator by being available most of the time which will help me with building relations with my team. I will also apply my time management skills to ensure that I am dedicating enough time to making fun events and efficient planning which comes from good leadership.

Thank you for reading my manifesto and feel free to get in contact with me to ask me any questions about my ideas by emailing me at
