Take a (Chan)ce On Megan Chan for Competitions Officer!

Hi! My name is Megan Chan and I am running to be your Competitions Officer for 2022/2023! Having been part of Fusion this year, I have learnt so much as a dancer and made countless memories with the team, and I aim to maintain and improve the overall experience for next year's competitions. In addition, I want to contribute to making KCL "Just Dance It '22/'23" bigger and better after this year's hiatus. Being on a competition team is stressful in itself, and as such I want to help alleviate that stress on the team by ensuring that the logistics of the competitions we attend and/or host -- everything from transport, accomodation, schedules, music, etc. -- are prepared in advance and communicated efficiently. Through participating in this year's end-of-year show, "Euphoria", as a dancer and choreographer, I faced challenges such as creating and rehearsing a piece with limited time, balancing this with competitions and my degree, and circumstances that forced me to make significant changes and convey them to my team mere days before the show. I believe that the pressure I was met with during "Euphoria" is a preparatory step towards confronting the difficulties of this role. My best experiences this past year were with all of you on Fusion, and if you, like me, want to have a fun yet meaningful time on Fusion next year, please Take a (Chan)ce On Megan Chan and vote me in as your Competitions Officer next year!
