3 main objectives

  1. Build engagement levels back up post-COVID


- Delivering well planned and consistent events

-  Maximising the use of social media- posting what we are up to, have planned, as well as opportunities


  1. Support Freshers and Medical students in lower years 


- Running an activity filled Freshers week

- Creating a ‘new students’ group chat

(3) Inspire students to want to 'give back' to GKT and African and Caribbean communities


- Collaborating with like-minded Individuals and organisations to drive change together

- Running a blood drive


The nitty gritty


  • Continue with spotlight series- 2 spotlight talks per term (NOV, DEC, FEB MAR)

               Surgery, Medicine, Psych, GP

  • BHM Event October

              Celebrating African and Caribbean student success- "More Than Just A Medical Student"*

  • Networking Event 

              "The HUMANities in Medicine"*



Continue with ACRA Programme

- Refine blended approach with the 2 schools currently on our roster

- Track student progress

Offer general advice (EBOOK) . Interview and UCAT Workshop

- Collaborate with another outreach project for ACRA potentially


Doctors Network

- Expand the network through testimonials and social media engagement

- Continue to offer mentoring

- Start a doctors teaching series for OSCEs 


GKT and Policy

- Liaise with other WP groups such as EMDP soc, ACS- ASPIRE and with the Black student network at KCL to come up with solutions to student problems

Skills and experience

- I have 2 years of committee experience

- I have held several leadership positions in the past and am well versed in managing people

- I am creative, judicious and good at mobilising a team

- I have enthusiasm and energy for projects that drive change
