vote Priya for secretary :D

Hi everyone, my name is Priya and I am a third year medical student. I would love to take on the role of Secretary for KCL GP Society this year!

KCL GP Society is a wonderful society that I have really enjoyed being involved with this year as the RCGP rep, through which I represented our members by liaising with the Royal College of General Practitioners and strengthening our societal ties with them.

As the Secretary for 2022/23, my aims include:

  • Managing the the society’s email account and ensuring that all queries are responded to appropriately within a timely manner, as well as maintaining the society's mailing list
  • Creating the GP Soc’s monthly newsletter, by liaising with various committee teams to gather all the essential information to be included for our members
  • Ensuring the smooth running of committee meetings by booking rooms on campus, co-chairing meetings when necessary, and writing up and distributing minutes afterwards

Why me?

I am friendly, organised and committed! I also have great time-management skills and enjoy working in a team, which is essential for the role of a Secretary! During my time at medical school, I have taken up a range of responsibilities, including roles such as Student Ambassador, events officer for KCL Lifestyle Medicine society, wellbeing lead for KCL Nutritank society, year representative of KCL Infection and Immunity society, KCLSU Positive Peer and subcommittee member of KCL Hindu society. From these extracurricular activities, I have experience in representing my peers and making their voices heard!

Thank you for reading my manifesto!
