Rather than telling you myself, here is what a member told me this year:
"Honestly, it's so cool what you do, and for so cheap!! Way better than any gym!"
My name is Millie, and I am a third-year medical student. I have been a loyal member of the society since my first year at King's and joined the committee in the past two years as Treasurer. I have also supported the society by running half of the weekly sessions as a trainer.
I am representing all new and returning students who have an interest in getting active and meeting new people with the same interests. Being physically active has a huge impact on someone's wellbeing, and it is, therefore, important for us students to have easy access to do so.
I really stand behind what Fitnestic is: meeting new people, getting active and creating unforgettable memories. Having been a member since my first year, I can appreciate the effect it had on my feeling of being a part of the student community. Also, hearing the kind words our members have expressed will continue to motivate me. My previous experience of being on the committee will certainly be beneficial for knowing what Fitnestic stands for and what we can achieve. My passion for fitness will continue to support the society with all the knowledge that is needed to plan the sessions effectively.
If you decide to vote for me as President, I pledge to continue to give students affordable access to fitness classes on campus. I will always have an open ear as to what classes are wished for and do my best to bring those wishes into action. I am hoping to increase the popularity of the society by focussing on the advertisement so that more people can benefit from Fitnestic.
