Experienced, organised and approachable! I am keen to continue to be a part of this fantastic committee this year. I aim to support the whole team wherever needed, and bring my previous experience to the table to help the society continue to grow!

Hi there, I’m Ritika and I’ll be intercalating next year! I discovered my passion for Psychodermatology during 2nd year and have loved being a part of the committee for the past year and would love to continue to do so!

I have previous experience in the role of Secretary, having held this role in another society for the past year. I have really enjoyed this role and learnt a lot from it; my organised and attentive nature means that I enjoy administrative tasks and have a knack for keeping the team on track for pre-determined deadlines. I am keenly aware of the need to liaise with everyone on the committee to ensure everyone is working cohesively, and have implemented strategies such as regular meetings, collective workflow planners and sub-committee teams for larger events in order to ensure the smooth running of the planning of events.

I have also collaborated internationally with speakers and large charities to organise numerous conferences- this included reaching out to potential collaborators, liaising with them to organise talks and hosting the event on the day. I am adept at forming relationships with and drawing interest from potential speakers and partners and always work hard to establish long-term relationships with external collaborators- I am very keen to use these skills to liaise with other societies and organisations on behalf of Psychodermatology Society! I have also previously led the organisation of numerous charity events, including dinners, science fairs and talks, and have held various positions in multiple committees over the past few years. As such, I have experience with the logistics involved in planning both in-person and online events, as well as first-hand knowledge of challenges that can arise for different members of the team. I aim to be an approachable and friendly member of the committee who is always available to support other committee members in their roles whenever needed.

For the upcoming year, I am eager to start a website or blog for the society, which we would update monthly with fun posts, articles written by our committee and events of interest! I am excited to liaise with the Publicity Officer for this so that we can develop and establish this platform for the society. I am also keen to utilise my conference-planning experience and collaborate with other societies to plan and hold a conference or similar large-scale event where students can gather to learn all about Psychodermatology!
