Candidate for the position of KCL Football (Women's) - Social Media Secretary

I am very excited to be running for the Social Media position in this society. My previous experience as a social media manager, as well as my strong communication and collaboration skills, make me an ideal candidate for the position.

Firstly, I am extremely invested in this society as it has had such a positive impact on my time at university thus far. The people I have met have been amazing; it’s truly been a pleasure to be a part of such an amazing group of people. The friends I’ve made here have been unforgettable, and so I would like to give back to such an amazing team and society for making my life so fulfilled.

Secondly, the experience I have mentioned above would greatly help me in this role. I have designed numerous posts for different companies and societies I have worked with in the past (CrepCamp, ChronoCamp, MyGingo, KCL TRS Society, Egyptian Youth in Britain Soc to name a few), and they have always increased engagement with the relevant social media pages.

I aim to develop content that draws people to your social pages, by making them as vibrant, welcoming, inclusive, and attractive as can be. This is possible by thorough research, where being up to date with current trends would be vital in the content's reception to the intended viewers. Analyzing ‘competitor’ pages also helps to establish what content does well, and what doesn’t. My experience with design tools such as Canva, Photoshop, ProCreate, and Adobe Illustrator would give me a great advantage in this role as it allows me to create content that is of an extremely high and professional level. I also aim to develop and participate in campaigns that would bring more exposure to your media pages, such as Earth Day, Women’s Days, Jeans for Genes Day, PeaceOneDay, etc.

To conclude, this role would not only be very rewarding for me on a personal level as I get to express my gratitude to an amazing society through work that is directly beneficial to the society’s success and its day-to-day operations, but it is also a great way to build on my existing teamwork, time-management and organization skills.
