A bit about myself

I am a second-year LLB student at King's. Learning about contract law and company law in the course has intrigued me in seeking a career as a commercial lawyer. Aside from academics, I am learning Japanese and I love playing badminton and running.

Why am I applying for this role?

I am really interested in international arbitration mediation and way of resolving disputes other than going to the courts. Interning at an international firm in Shanghai, I have assisted solicitors with multiple arbitration cases that involve parties from different jurisdictions in the area of maritime and commercial law. I found the process of arbitration very interesting and would like to be a part of a team that focuses on dispute resolution.

Why am I suitable for the role?

I am suitable for the role of treasurer as I am good at organization and communication skills. I was the Events Officer at Japan Society this past year and I have managed to execute various cultural, social, and sports events which incur spending. I keep good track of money, whilst assisting other committee member if they need any help.
