Vote for Sabrina for AWS President!!

I am Sabrina Shahid, and I am running for President for Afghan Welfare society.

I have been the vice-president for Afghan Welfare society this year. I have been part of organising the events and delivering the events this year. I have been part of the numerous initiatives Afghan Welfare society have done this year such as our charity events during the month of Feb raising over 10K for ambulances, blood donation scheme and food packages for the charity human relief mission for the people in Afghanistan. Next year I plan to implement more charity events all year round to allow many more ways to raise money for people less fortunate than ourselves.

I will also help organise the annual outreach event for prospective healthcare students alongside the outreach officers. I will also arrange events such as Meet and greet, sports days, quiz nights, games nights, cultural nights, talent shows and collaborate with other KCL and non KCL societies. I will also plan exciting events that our members will enjoy to help raise money for charity and provide opportunities for volunteering during this time.

From my experience this year from being Afghan Welfare societies Vice-president, I have gained numerous skills which will allow me to run events smoothly next year and tailor the events to events that the members want.

I am dedicated and passionate about giving back to society and people less fortunate than ourselves and by being president of AWS would mean I can showcase my skills to organise events and collaboratively raise as much money as we can for charity.

I’ve enjoyed being VP of AWS and would love to become president. I hope you vote for me!
