Overview

We are organising a "Women in Science" event for International Woman's day, on 6th March at Waterloo campus.

The event is in the format of a seminar/discussion session, and will include 5 speakers who will talk about their careers, focusing on the challenges facing women in research and how they have overcome them. The aim of the event is to inspire confidence in women in research and also to open a debate on gender inequality in academia. Although focused on women in research, the event is open to anyone who is interested in exploring a career in research and combating gender inequality. We will also provide a free networking lunch!
