Who are we?
At KCLWHC we currently have four teams that participate in the BUCS South Prem B, South Eastern Tier 3, South Eastern Tier 4, and South Eastern Tier 5 London leagues. We train on Monday and Tuesday nights, play BUCS matches on a Wednesday and LUSL matches (mixed hockey) on a Sunday at our home ground, Honor Oak Park. Our first team is the most highly ranked university hockey team in London and will once again be striving for promotion to Prem A, as well as looking forward to thrashing UCL again at Varsity 2024. The second team, whilst still playing at a competitive, energetic and successful level, are for those who enjoy hockey without the performance team pressures. However, they were still the BUCS 2022 cup champions and won their league in the previous season. Our third team offers a chance for people who have played some hockey before, e.g. in school and would like a relaxed and fun approach to hockey. They are still big winners and came out on top of their league last season. Our fourth team is more for people who have played a bit or never before but still want to play some matches and improve. This is also a good stepping stone for those who are keen to improve and move up to the third, or second, team.
LUSL (London league) matches are played competitively for our women's 1's and mixed team, with our mixed team being the 7-time champions of the league!
We are very much looking forward to this season and all the success and fun that will come with it!
