KCLSU Cultural Ball wins a national award

We got an award! Our first-ever Cultural Ball received the Event Award at the recent National Society and Volunteering awards (NSVA).

The Cultural Ball started as an idea of our officers Hamza and Arslan, who wanted to create a space where you had the opportunity to connect and learn more about your peers’ identities and cultures. After a two-year pandemic and only virtual events, the Cultural Ball was hosted as the cherry on top of our one and only One World Festival.

The category of the award received more than 100 nominations, and the judges loved the event’s focus on impact and feedback and on how you felt. You can find out more about it here.

Thank you so much for attending our first-ever One World Cultural Ball and for sharing with us your feedback. It was brilliant to see you all in person looking so incredible and having fun last March.
