Group of the Month – Filipino Society
Filipino Society has had an incredible start to the year, with record-breaking membership sign-ups, a Meet and Greet attended by around 80 students, exciting collaborations, sponsors and new initiatives like Filisoc in Dance. Alongside their Roar News feature and Instagram takeover, their growing impact marks their biggest presence since the society was established in 2015, making them a fantastic Group of the Month!
Congratulations to the Filipino Society on winning Group of the Month!
Project of the Month – STRAND Magazine
Simon has made a standout contribution to STRAND Magazine through his London Fashion Week coverage, interviewing attendees at Saul Nash’s AW26 pop-up and writing an in-depth piece exploring gender expression in men’s fashion. Since taking on his new role as Co-Fashion Editor, Simon has shown great initiative and creativity while helping new students feel welcomed and included within the society. The quality and impact of STRAND Magazine’s work throughout this period make it a worthy Project of the Month.
Congratulations to Simon for winning Project of the Month!
Volunteer of the Month – Reem, President of the Women’s Football (GKT) Club
As President of the Women’s Football (GKT) Club, Reem has shown exceptional leadership and commitment. She went above and beyond to organise and deliver the HOPfest tournament in collaboration with GKTFC and KCLA, successfully bringing together over 90 participants, the highest attendance among all sports HOPfest clubs. Her initiative, organisation and dedication have strengthened collaboration across the student community while creating a welcoming and engaging environment for students to get involved, making Reem a deserving Volunteer of the Month.
Congratulations to Reem on winning Volunteer of the Month!
