Korean streetfood – need we say more? Well, you can get a sharebox of 12 pieces of Korean Fried Chicken, coleslaw and Korean hot sauce for under £15! Perfect to share (or have all to yourself, we won't judge!).

 

 

Shop till you Drop: Covent Garden Market

One of the oldest markets in London (founded in 1654), you’re bound to find something here that tickles your fancy.

While you’re here: KCLSU has both a bar (The Vault) and a café (The Shack) on campus – as well as our famous merch shop, the Union Shop. For delicious food that won't hurt your wallet, or to show your King's pride, stop by!

Grab a Drink: London Bridge Grind

A very Instagram-able location with quality drinks (both the caffeinated and boozy kind), small plates and chill vibes.

 

Get Some Food: Padella

Get a whole plate of freshly made pasta for under £5 – we recommend you join the queue using the app WalkUp, as they are so popular they’re often overbooked!

 

Shop till you Drop: Borough Market

This one does pretty much what it says on the tin. Lots of amazing produce and ready made food, as well as a delicious freshly made doughnut shop – the Bread Ahead Bakery – which offers over 5 flavours to spoil you with!

While you’re here: KCLSU has a café (The Shed) on campus, famous for it's dangerously delicious brownies as well as a bar (Guy's Bar) with great deals on food and drink.

 

Waterloo Campus

Grab a Drink: Black Sheep Coffee

Notorious for their cold brew and Norwegian waffles, Black Sheep Coffee is a great hidden gem by Waterloo Campus to chill and study in-between classes.

 

Get Some Food: Anywhere along the Southbank

We really, really couldn’t decide what to recommend here. Name a food, and it’s 99.99% likely that the Southbank is home to a restaurant that does it. Plus with the street entertainment and great river views, what’s not to love?

 

Watch till you Drop: The BFI

Got time to kill in-between classes? The BFI offers £3 tickets for those aged 16-25 for all their movies. They screen both modern indie films and classic pictures, so there’s something for everyone!

 

 

Denmark Hill Campus

Grab a Drink: Mono Café

This independent café is a neighbourhood favourite, serving speciality coffee, cold pressed juices and more just a stone’s throw away from campus.

 

Get Some Food: Wingz

You’re not gonna believe this, but Wingz is a vegan-friendly food stop just next to campus on Denmark Hill. Featuring chicken wings, pizza and more – this is the perfect stop for when you’re craving some quality fast food.

 

Soak up artsy vibes at: South London Gallery

The South London Gallery is a public-funded gallery of contemporary art in Camberwell, home to multiple free exhibitions for when you have some time to kill between lectures.
