Not sure where to study on campus?

There are more places to study around Strand Campus than you might realise. Whether you need somewhere to focus, are in need of a computer, or just want somewhere to relax with friends, there are plenty of spaces across campus to try. Here's a rundown of the study spaces you can find in each building – room numbers included!

Finding your way around

The room codes can look a little confusing at first. Here's what they mean:

King's / Strand 

• K = King's Building
• S = Strand Building

Bush House 

• SE = South East
• NE = North East
• N = North
• S = South

Macadam Building 

• MB = Macadam Building

Wanting to lock in?

Try Bush House 

Bush House has many working tables and booths across the building. With 49 spaces identified so far, it's one of the best places to head to if you're looking for somewhere to sit and work.

Working tables and booths:

Or try Macadam Building: 

• MB4 has 3 booths as well as 2 seating areas with space for around 12 people.

Looking for somewhere more informal to relax? 

King's Building 

The Quadrangle in KIN-1 is an informal space that can be useful when you want to work somewhere other than a silent study room.

Chapters Café in KIN 222 is another option if you want to work somewhere more relaxed and enjoy a nice coffee whilst you're at it.

The Quadrangle Foyer 

Bush House 

Bush House also has several informal spaces, including The Shack (SE), The Arcade (S), The Exchange (NE), and The Vault (with the Pavilion just above it), all of which offer opportunities to eat, study and socialise.

The 8th Floor Terrace (S/N) is also a great place to study or relax if you want to enjoy a beautiful view of London.

Macadam Building 

Macadam Café and Terrace provide another informal learning space where you can work or take a break between lectures.

Just need somewhere to sit? 

Not every space on campus is strictly for studying. There are benches and sofa chairs throughout King's Building and Strand, so it's worth looking around.

Norfolk is mainly used for faculty spaces, so there currently are limited dedicated study spaces

Chesham is mainly used for faculty spaces. There currently are no dedicated seating areas identified outside of classrooms.
