Relevant Experiences & Suitability:

Mentorship: Networking & Connections

  • Completing two spring weeks at Morgan Stanley and Bank of America, so I will be utilizing connections made in these.
  • In multiple group chats with hundreds of Spring Week & Summer interns.
  • Spent extensive time networking with people who have done summer internships at banks/consultancy firms (contacted many people for almost every spring I applied to and I applied to 30, therefore I can utilize those connections).
    • Indicating I will be able to contribute to the mentorship programme.

 

Leading internal operations: Genuine interest in finance

  • Truly enjoy finance so I will happily attend and contribute to events.
  • Am always available and responsive when asked for help.

 

Problem-Solving: Leadership experience

  • President of King’s M&A group and the student ran newspaper TalkDiplomacy, in which I have had experience in leadership roles.

 

Assistance in all departments: How I can contribute to each department

  • Marketing: Overran marketing for my newspaper TalkDiplomacy and did a summer internship in the Sales & Marketing Department at EAcademy (PHD Insitute). 
  • I worked in the Events department and secured 5 speakers for the networking evening at the Investment Conference.
  • I held a role as corporate relations associate for one year.

 

Plans for the coming year:

  • Expand mentorship scheme (50 mentors)
  • TikTok Marketing (Recruiting experts in field and posting a TikTok per event to increase engagement)
  • Linkedin growth to 2000 followers
  • Maximizing reach at freshers fair through training members in sales
  • Looking into fast-track opportunities at our events (Could be fast-track to an interview for an internship)
  • Data-driven decision-making - assessing what events have the best turnout and what we need to focus on as a society. 
  • Hosting Event “Breaking into Finance from a non-finance background”
