Hi, I am Manon ! Vote for me as the next HEAD OF EVENTS for the KCL DIPLOMACY SOCIETY !

I am a First-Year International Relations Student.

I have been an active member of the KCL Diplomacy Society for the past year. I have attended a lot of events, most particularly talks and visits to embassies, which motivates me to have a leading role inside the society, most particularly as Head of Events. My past experiences make me the best candidate for the role. As a result of my experiences, I have been able to build a diverse network that would benefit me and YOU if I become your next head of events.

My goals for the society :

1) Maintaining high-standard diplomatic events
- visit of embassies, organizing talks with diplomats on current or past geopolitics conflicts, creation of workshops with diplomats in small groups to get more insight of what diplomacy really is.

2) Creation of a “Diplomacy Conference” with high-profile guests

- Diplomats, UN Delegates, Ministers of Foreign Affairs, or even European Parliament Deputies.

3) Increasing the frequency of events
- I would like to organise at least 1 event per week as we will have 2 Head of Events for the society this year

4) Forging connections with sponsors to organise a weekend to a European Institution

- E.G European Parliament

My relevant experiences :

-Official Delegate for UN Women UK

-Active member of the European Youth Parliament (EYP) including serving as a jury member

-Delegate for the HPAIR 2023 Virtual Summit

-Student Representative in Year 12 and 13 including event planning and organization

-Creation of a Tutoring Program
