Hello there!

To introduce myself to those of you who don't know me, I'm Arnav Umranikar, currently a 2nd year medical student, and co-editor of the GKT Gazette. I am a keen runner, cyclist and tennis player, and I enjoy painting, literature and music.

I would love to join the Ophthalmology Society Committee as Secretary.

Here's why I'd be a great candidate for this role;

• Organised. As the co-editor of the student journal, I am in charge of email correspondence with team members, trustees and external members. I also host meetings, interviews and events, all of which require demand organisational and time management skills.

• Broad-thinking. I have lots of varying interests and this allows me to think broadly and laterally. This is essential for coming up with new ideas and perspectives, and providing novel contributions to the team.

• Reliable and Responsible. I am enthusiastic and readily contactable. I understand the necessity of being responsible for one's role, and getting things done efficiently. This is essential for the smooth functioning of any team.
