Can balance the budget and the donks

Hey! I’m Eloise. I’m currently in my first year studying BA Social Sciences!

This is my first year as part of KCL DJ Soc and being part of this society thus far has given me the platform to begin my journey as a DJ and expand my love for electronic music. Ever since I saw Debonair playing Room 2 at Corsica, my desire to be more involved in electronic music has only increased. So far, the society has given me so many opportunities! So, by being involved in the committee as treasurer I would love the chance to put back into the society and help it reach its full potential.

I would like to draw a main focus on ensuring that the funds of the society and its members are managed well to keep DJ lessons and open decks accessible to all our members and aspiring DJs.

I think it is also important to set out clear aims and budget targets to ensure we can help fund grassroots music venues for our use and to keep these spaces open to our society and the wider electronic music community!

By also collaborating with other societies to raise funds we can prioritise making new and exciting events to allow freedom of expression and keep in touch with the roots of rave.

By combining my previous work skills in handling finances I’m sure I’d have no problems taking on the role of treasurer. I really want to be able to provide back the welcoming energy others in the society have given me.

Being part of KCL DJ Soc has been one of the highlights of my uni experience so far and I would really appreciate holding an active role in our community :)
