My name is Elina, and I am currently in my second year of biomedical science specialising in immunology. I joined ScienceMind because of my personal interest in keeping up with the latest advances in healthcare, and as an editor, it has been an incredible way to learn about cutting-edge research in various different fields. 

With a recent shift to listening to scientific podcasts during my commute to campus, I'm drawn to the idea of expanding ScienceMind's current audience in the same way my favourite hosts on Spotify are able to. With the large number of exceptional researchers here at King's, I believe ScienceMind has potential in successfully inviting these brilliant minds to speak with us about the incredible work that they do. Furthermore, I am confident I can connect with external sources for their insight -- such as DNA specialists and pharmaceutical scientists I've corresponded with when conducting an independent research project. 

If elected, I would ensure to work with my co-lead on securing oppportunities for eager students to be involved with the entire process. This would allow for us to not only have the chance to directly learn from the interviews, but also gain valuable experience in networking, collaborating, and engaging with a wider audience.
