Rowena for Slay-cretary!

Rowena for Secretary (or SLAY-cretary)

Hey Lions! My name is Rowena and I am a first year Liberal Arts student, and I am thrilled to be running for the position of secretary. During the past season, I held the position of Reign Captain and through this, I have gained and developed valuable leadership and organisational skills that make me well-suited for this role.

Why Me? Because I SLAY...

S is for supportive

I've got your back, Lions! As Reign Captain, I learned the importance of being supportive and collaborative in a leadership role. I'm committed to working closely with the committee and offering assistance and encouragement whenever needed.

L is for Literally organised af

I'm Notion's biggest fan! I created a Reign Handbook with all the team members' info, birthdays, training times and venues, to make the lives of my fellow teammates easier. Being detail-oriented and organised is key to keeping everything running smoothly, and I've got those skills nailed to a T.

A is for Attentive

Details, details, details! You can trust me to keep accurate records of meetings and events and make sure everything runs like clockwork, especially within committee. We won't be caught lacking at any point!

Y is for Yielding

I'm ready to slay the game, no matter the circumstance or challenge. As Deputy Head Girl. I learned the importance of being adaptable and willing to yield to changing circumstances. Covid who?

As your slay-cretary, I would...

  • Keep us all on track with a simple and accessible online calendar for all members to access information about training venues, times, and events. This will be our go-to tool for staying organised and making sure we're always on top of our game.

  • Create a Notion workspace to make life easier for committee members, coaches, and captains to access relevant information about team members. Plus. I'll kick off the season with a Google Form to make sure we've accounted for every member. Let's work smarter, not harder!

  • I will implement twice-semesterly surveys to ensure all members feel comfortable with their training schedules and venues. I will work closely with the wellbeing officers to support the mental health and wellbeing of all members.

  • Send regular updates on Whatsapp so you're always in the loop on key info, changes to schedules, and competition details. Get ready to be informed and entertained with my newsletters!

  • Be your go-to gal! I'll be a reliable point of contact for every member of the committee, and I plan to hold frequent catch-up sessions with each committee member to ensure that we're all contributing fairly and addressing any questions or concerns.

Vote for me and we will slay all day, lions!

Lion love <3
