Candidate for the position of KCL Hindu Society - Sports Officer

Ayushi Bhat

Hi All!

I would love to be one of your Sports Officers for Hindusoc, so please vote for me :)

If elected, one of my main aims/visions is to create a kho kho team ready for the London zone & Nationals competition!

Earlier this year at Nationals, I taught a team how to play kho kho at the comp without any prior training sessions!

Nonetheless, in the short time we did practise- I was told I was a great teacher & they all had loads of fun ;)

Next year, we WILL be ready and confident for any competition. I plan to run weekly kho kho sessions & I love teaching and leading sessions, so this is the perfect role for me :)

I would also like to plan some kho & other sports competitions with other London unis & have some joint training sessions with them- we can learn from each other!

I am also a great team player, so would work well with the other sports officers to create a sense of sporting community for Hindusoc members in all the sports we offer.

I would also like to use this role to encourage more girls especially, to try out kabaddi and connect with the society- as this is another khel (game) played and started by our ancestors!

Having been part of the sports subcommittee has allowed me to observe what this role requires- and I believe I have what it takes. I love sports and have that competitive energy- a little is always good ;)

So please vote for me, and you won't regret it!
