Efia 4 wellbeing!

Within the Global Citizens Society, we must ensure mental health is a global priority. My main role would be to endorse this message throughout both the society and in King's. In order to do this, as wellbeing officer, I would firstly be the main point of contact if anyone is in need of support. I would provide and make members aware of the wellbeing and mental health services in King's, such as department welfare officers and King's counselling service. In addition to this, I would organise activities for world mental health day in October, such as charity events. Bake sales and charity runs can be organised within the society to raise money for mental health charities such as 'Mind'. Talks can also be organised to further emphasise the importance of global mental health, and discuss nuances with the King's community. Lastly I would work cohesively with other committee members during events to ensure for a smoothly running society. My aim to  consistently promote mental health and wellbeing is evident and I hope to bring this spirit to the society.
