Hi, my name is Lauren Witting! 

I have been a member of Art Society for a year now and would love to take on the role of the Events officer. I am someone who has always appreciated art and its creativity- I have been doing art for many years as a creative hobby and even took it for GCSE! Art society at King's was an amazing outlet of creativity and enjoyment for me this year, especially with the amazing events that they have been dutifully organizing. 

The Events Officer position to me is an important but fun role in the society! Organising the art events would allow me a creative position in the society but to also participate fully in what goes on backstage. I would always ensure to be in contact with the other committee members and to listen to the ideas of others as well as inputting my own to get the full team experience. Attending all the events and ensuring the society members have fun and enjoy will always be a priority if I were to have the fantastic opportunity of being in the position. It would be great for building creativity and creating new opportunities for everyone!

I wanted to apply for this role because I think it would be an amazing opportunity for me to meet more people with the same love and interest in art. I also believe it would be a good position for me as I am someone new to committee responsibilities and this type of role, and I think art society would be the best environment for me to grow into the abilities needed all while having fun. Furthermore, I believe it would allow me to fully commit to being creative again and to grow and learn new techniques and skills from other committee and society members! I love meeting new people and creating new memories while at university so I hope you will consider me for this position, and I will do my absolute best to meet expectations and push outside of my comfort zone.
