As Treasurer of the East African Society, i pledge to ensure the financial stability and growth of our soceity by accomplishing the following: 

Fostering Collaboration

• Work closely with other members of the society to ensure that all events are well planned and executed to a high standard. 
• Encourage members to work together and share ideas amongst one another.

Ensuring Financial Transparency

• Keep accurate records of all financial transactions and make them available to the society’s members.
• Ensure that all financial decisions are made in the best interest of the society.

Prioritising Inclusivity

• Ensure that all members feel welcome and included in the society’s activities and reflect this through any financial decisions made.
• Encourage diversity and inclusivity in all aspects of the society.

Maximising Resources

• Work with other members of the society to identify opportunities for fundraising and explore other avenues for sources of revenue.
• Seek out opportunities to reduce costs without sacrificing the quality of our events and activities.

In summary, I believe that the role of Treasurer for the King's College London East African Society is a crucial one. I am committed to ensuring that we have the financial resources necessary to achieve our goals and promote our culture.
