Hi everyone, I'm Ryan! I'm currently in my second year and I'm applying to be the next vice-president for KCL Cardiothoracic Surgery.

Aside from having a keen interest in a career in surgery and cardiology, this year, I’ve been the Sponsorship and Liaison Executive for Malaysian Medics International UK (MMI UK), a national student-led organisation representing Malaysian medical students in the UK. Through this role, I believe I’ve acquired the skills and expertise required to take on the role of vice-president for the upcoming year.

I’ve managed to gain experience in leading the direction in which the organisation manages/creates its partnerships with other student organisations around the UK, alongside securing sponsorships and the processes which lead up to that. As vice president, I hope to work closely alongside other members of the committee in order to organise a wide range of events throughout the year, along with propelling the society in a positive direction for the year ahead.
