Hi there! My name is Julia and I am excited to be running for Treasurer of KCL EcoSoc. I believe that my academic and extracurricular experience make me a great fit for this role. 

I am a passionate advocate for sustainability and a highly motivated individual. I was a finalist in the SPE Policy Pitch 2023: Environment and Cost of Living competition and have interned at a consulting firm, where I analysed 54+ companies’ financial and sustainability data. I have also been awarded the King's Global Experience Award for completing the extracurricular module ‘Sustainability & Climate’.

I have experience being Treasurer; I am currently the Treasurer of ThinkMental Society. As Treasurer, I successfully helped manage our sponsorships and partnerships with other organisations. I also collaborated with KCLSU staff, KCL event managers, and graphic designers to organise high-turnout events. 

As Treasurer, my plans for this year include:

1. Increasing the society’s revenue by seeking sponsorships/partnerships from organisations that share our vision for a sustainable future. 

2. Developing a comprehensive budget plan that prioritises our society's sustainability initiatives. This involves creating a detailed financial plan for all our events and programs, including costs for materials and other expenses.

3. Ensuring financial transparency by providing regular financial reports and updates to our members.

In summary, I am committed to ensuring that the society is financially sustainable and accountable, while also pursuing our goals of promoting environmental awareness and sustainability.
