Cheers to us !

Hi, I’m Ellie a first-year classics student and I’m running for the presidency of Beer society for the next year. This society undoubtedly has the potential to continue to flourish into the next year and beyond, and I wish to help it fulfil this potential. The society connects a diverse group of people over what is undoubtedly a physiological necessity in Maslow’s student hierarchy of needs, beer. For this reason, it is essential that our society expands to a wider range of events to cater to all members, from craft tastings to relaxed evening pints at the KCL staple pubs. Additionally, what makes Beer society so engaging is how truly versatile our subject is, beer is intertwined with a multitude of events and occasions. Thus, developing our collaborations with other societies allows for our members to forge connections and share experiences with those who hold a similar passion. Lastly, it is crucial that we further utilise our communications primarily to promote our society but also as a tool for gathering feedback on events and actions, so the society can better serve its members. Beer society is a wonderful addition to KCL, and our thriving collective will continue to grow.
