Hi everyone! My name is Pema Tsering, and I am a Biochemistry student running for the position of treasurer. I believe that the treasurer's role is not simply to manage money but to ensure that the organisation's resources are managed responsibly and used in the best interests of students. Therefore, I will commit to uphold the highest financial integrity, responsibility, and transparency standards. In the past, I have done a fundraising activity for a charity called Shelter, which has helped me improve to manage budgets, track expenses, and allocate resources effectively, all of which are crucial for a treasurer.

If elected, I pledge to: 

• Act with integrity: I will always act honestly and ethically and never compromise my principles or the trust placed in me as treasurer. 
• Manage finances prudently: I will manage the finances carefully, ensuring that resources are used efficiently and effectively.
• Provide timely and accurate information: I will provide timely and accurate financial information to ensure all the finances are accounted for.
• Prioritise the financial interests of all students: I will ensure that the funds are used in the interests of everyone.
