"Equations to Solutions: Your Math Soc Vice-President."

Hello, fellow Math enthusiasts! My name is Anvitha Kadiyam, and I am a BSc Mathematics with Statistics student with a deep-rooted passion for mathematics. Today, I stand before you as a candidate for the Math Society Vice President, eager to share my love for math and demonstrate that it is a subject not to be feared but to be embraced and enjoyed.

My Journey with Mathematics

From participating in multiple math competitions to serving as a math tutor and teaching assistant, my journey with mathematics has been rich and rewarding. My enthusiasm for math has not only shaped my academic path but has also inspired me to spread this passion within our community.

My leadership and organizational skills have been honed through significant involvement in Model United Nations (MUNs), including serving as the Secretary-General. Leading societies of over 100 students, I have developed a strong foundation in leadership, communication, and teamwork. My coordination skills are exceptional, and I am committed to ensuring the seamless maintenance of all external relationships. These experiences make me the ideal Vice President candidate to bring new energy and direction to our Math Society.

Vision and Goals

1. Promoting the Beauty of Mathematics: I aim to organize workshops that explore the beauty of math beyond the syllabus, focusing on hands-on learning and revolutionary applications of math.

2. Expanding Our Community: Through outreach and engagement initiatives, including activities at the end of lectures, I plan to increase our membership and foster a more inclusive environment.

3. Mentorship Program: I propose the implementation of a mentorship program, encouraging seniors to tutor juniors, and providing additional support to those who need it. Extra classes based on previous lectures could also be arranged.

4. Innovating Engagement: Online challenges and math-based treasure hunts around campus are just a couple of the fun and engaging ideas I look forward to introducing, as well as many exciting new socials, and the opportunity to travel more.

As your Vice President, I commit to serving with the utmost integrity, enthusiasm, and dedication. I will always be approachable and responsive to all suggestions, ensuring that our society thrives and continues to foster a love for mathematics.

I am not just running for a position; I am advocating for a community where every member feels valued, engaged, and inspired. Vote for me, and together, we will unlock the true potential of our Math Society. It would be an absolute honour to serve as your Math Society Vice President.

Let's make mathematics not just a subject we learn, but a passion we share.
