Community for all, success for all.
By being elected, I will work vehemently towards three ends which I believe will provide students with an enriching and fulfilling experience.
1. Continuing the organisation of non-academic social events:
To this end, I seek to continue providing students with exciting and engaging non-academic social events. Whether or not students enjoy the party life or something more relaxing, I will work towards a wide variety of events with which students
all students can enjoy feeling a sense of belonging within the society.
2. Inter-society events:
I will work towards organising events with other societies, for I believe this will enable the creation of larger-scale events that will unite students from a variety of academic and cultural traditions. Connectedly, I aim to encourage an inter-disciplinary approach
that can be used to critically investigate complex issues, generating a more intellectually stimulating experience.
3. Networking and Careers
I believe it is fundamental for the society to contribute towards providing network opportunities. I will endeavor to organise networking and career events to present students with the opportunity to become familiar with opportunities within the field.
My mission is to spread awareness of what a history degree can lead to professionally, in addition to giving students the chance to forge meaningful connections, maximising the probabilities of post-graduate success.
Ultimately, I position the construction of community as my fundamental goal.
