Hey everyone! I’m Ushaa and I’m a 1^st year biochemistry student. I am standing for the position of events officer for KCL Bioscience Student Association. I believe this role would give me the chance to be involved in a society with like-minded individuals who wholeheartedly support those in bioscience.

I have had experience creating blogs relating to key biological concepts where I was able to develop my communication and teamwork skills, which are applicable to ensuring that our society maintains our unique brand. These skills are vital within the events team to ensure coordinated and successful events.

I am also passionate about inclusion within STEM meaning that I will ensure that we dedicate time and effort into ensuring all members feel supported and included. My priorities would be to ensure that the society provides fun and engaging events for all students (such as conferences, pizza nights, movie nights and networking events) and in whole liaise with committee members when planning events.

I’m excited to meet and work with other committee members to ensure that KCL Bioscience Student Association holds successful events, grows its reputation, and creates meaningful memories for everyone!
