Candidate for the position of Medical Students' Association - Student-Staff Representation Director

Ibrahim Toufiq

Ibrahim Medical Students' Association Student-Staff Representation Director

Hi, I’m Ibrahim a First Year Medical Student here at King’s College. The Student Staff Representation Director is a key role within the Medical School, liaising on behalf of all of us to ensure our needs to become the best possible Doctors are communicated to the Faculty.

Alongside my Medical degree, I work within the NHS as an Administrator across multiple different specialities. My role working directly with the Transfusion Practitioner enabled me to help create and deliver educational media to the clinical team throughout the hospital. Additionally, working on an audit taught me about the importance of attention to detail. My experience has lead to me developing strong interpersonal and communication skills. My role requires me to be detail-oriented with the ability to collate, analyse and present feedback effectively, all skills required within this role.

As well as having an active role within the Student Community at Kings I am part of the Team at Student British Islamic Medics Association, this gives me a unique insight into how a Medical Degree is delivered at other Universities allowing us to gain inspiration and innovate.

Within this role, I intend to help make sure that the King’s College Medical Programme innovates and ensures the needs of students are delivered so that we can become the best possible doctors in the future.
