Hey, my name is Nishka and I’m a 4th year medical student who is passionate about Anaesthetics! I would love to continue being your mentorship scheme officer this year so I can inspire others to pursue a career in anaesthesia. 

As the Anaesthetic Mentorship Scheme Officer for this year (2023/24), I managed to recruit 20 new anaesthetists for the mentorship scheme, creating space for 50 students (the biggest year yet!). 

This year, I plan on making the scheme even bigger - recruiting more anaesthetists through the contacts I have made organising the scheme this year, as well as introducing a research scheme where students are given the opportunity for publication in collaboration with their mentor. I will take on board any suggestions from the current students and anaesthetists on the scheme, implementing any changes for next year - making it better for both mentees and mentors!
