Hi, my name is Maciej Grzech!

I'm a penultimate international relations student & an active member of the Diplomacy Society! Born in a small town in Poland & growing up in London has truly equipped me with a diverse perspective. My fascination around diplomacy stems from its success in bridging ideologies, cultures & borders that separate us. Through fund-raising intiatives, I aspire to strengthen the society’s capability to regularly & sustainably host most insightful diplomatic events for the students!

As the society treasurer, I aspire to achieve the following objectives:

1.         Intensify Fundraisers & Sponsorship Initatives

Within this objective, I'll establish relations with well-aligned partners, which ensure the continued neutrality & free of bias running of the organisation. By doing so, the revenue captured enables a continued, frequent hosting of high-level diplomatic events. 

2.         Sustainable Financial Management

To maintain a coherent organisational body, it is neccessary to ensure financial sustainability. I feel confident in my ability to do so; through creating a balance sheet, tracking inflows & outflows. Sustainability equally involves high-level of future forecasting & planning, which will be done accordingly to meet the society's financial needs. 

3.         Increasing Transparency

As finances are the linchpin of the organisation, I believe each member of the organisation should be well-informed about the financial position of the society. I seek to ensure an informed society through the measures of producing monthly financial reports & increasing collaboration with the members. 

Why am I well suited for this position?

• I have past experiences in the financial field - City Investment Training Experience, together with numerous masterclasses & certificates: HSBC, JP Morgan, Bloomberg. Apart from financial & market awareness, I'm proficient in the use of Excel. 
• I undertook a Treasurer position in 2022, KA Prom Committee Treasurer, raising over £500. I've successfully sourced funding from various partners & suggested high-return event ideas.
