Hi crafters! I'm Josheela, a second-year med student & the current C&K charity officer (2 years running!) I have had a lovely time working with this society so far, & would love to pursue a new way of getting involved with our members.

I have been very passionate about the idea of a member's newsletter & am so excited it can finally happen! Newsletters are a great way to get information & opportunities across to a wider range of people, especially those who don't use social media (or have the C&K Whatsapp group buried amongst hundreds of other unread texts).

My aims are to have a fun monthly newsletter with the key events for the month, crochet & knitting patterns for beginners to advanced & various other crafting tips & tricks that myself or members have come across. I would also love to showcase the brilliant work of our members, run competitions & other low commitment, newsletter-only activities for you all to get involved. I will also look forward to sharing mini-profiles of our brilliant committee members so you can get to know us a bit better & we can all celebrate the behind-the-scenes work that goes into the society.

I also understand that it can be daunting to ask questions on the group chat, so à la 2000s teen magazines, I am excited to include a Q&A column where you can submit your questions & crafting dilemmas for our readers to help with!
