Overview

Join us this summer for a fun-filled Plush x Character-themed Tea Party! Bring your own plush and dress up to celebrate our soft friends, make new ones, craft, nibble, and win prizes all in one! A collaboration between the Storytelling Society, Wholesome Society, Makers' and more.

Each ticket covers the cost of entry, all activities, and food & drink of the event. It also comes with:

- A goodie bag filled with cute items that’ll be given to you on the day!,
- A doodle of your character from the Storytelling Soc President. When you've purchased a ticket, please contact storytellingsoc@gmail.com with your proof of purchase, student number, university, name, and character references. Your doodle will be sent in your goodie bag on the event day!
- Opportunities to win prizes from playing our games!

Now here's what we have in store for you! :

Food & Drink: Light refreshments will be available, including cake, for the tea party! We will send a Food & Drink survey to accommodate each peoples dietary requirements and preferences as much as possible! Here you will need to let us know what food you would like to eat (which you’re able to) & cannot eat so we can curate a menu based on this.

Party Games & Dice Roll Prize Booth: Pass-the-Parcel, drawing games (e.g. character-making, silly cat contest), boardgames, and our own invented games! These are opportunities for you to win prizes like plushies and stationery! Several prizes up for grabs include art, handmade merchandise, stationery, food and official plushies.

OC PowerPoint Introductions & DND One-Shot:
Before the DND one-shot there’ll be an opportunity for us to each introduce the character that we’ll be playing using PowerPoint. You can customise the PowerPoint however you’d like! We recommend having: an image of your character, age, pronouns, occupation, a little description of them, 3 items they’d hold, theme song(s), weapons of choice & spells, and several fun facts about them. Please also bring a model or print-out of your character so that we can make a little stand for your character. You can also share a PowerPoint of a character that you won't be playing if you'd rather opt out of DND.

The DND one-shot will be co-DM’d by Mallow (Storytelling Society President) & an experienced guest DM! The scenario will be uploaded before the tea party so you can decide on who to use in advance. We’ll be re-arranging the table with props and maps for it. Ideally you’ll need to bring your own dice however you can also borrow other peoples if they’re okay with it. If you would rather opt out of this game, then that is completely fine! We have other activities you can be involved in during it (crafts, games), and you can also jump in whenever you’d like. Duration: ~3 hours

Crafts & Mini Plush-making - Taught by the wonderful KCL Makers’ Society, you have the opportunity to make your own plushies using sewing patterns or crochet! In addition you’ll be able to make other crafts like envelopes, gift boxes and more. We’ll provide the resources but you can also bring your own too!

Creating a Scene Together/Plush Photoshoot: People will be put into teams to make a physical scene on a table for a plush photoshoot using craft materials! Here you’ll have the opportunity to take photos with your plushies in different scenes made from everyone (like the plushies having a tea party, flying, etc.)

Dress-up & Cosplay: Come along to the event dressed up as your favourite fantasy & sci-fi characters, TTRPG characters, something cute, or anything that you're comfortable with!

Only LIMITED tickets are available, so nab yours soon!

Note - Alcohol is PROHIBITED for this event.
