Renting in London is a rodeo – Don’t get taken for a ride – Know your rights! Come along and learn practical ways to protect yourself in London’s renting wild west.
This event is an interactive and practical workshop on your rights as private renters. Representatives from Citizens Advice Bureau Southwark will share essential tips on contracts, deposits, repairs, and what to do if things go wrong.
The tone will be friendly, accessible and action-oriented to give the tools and knowledge you'll need to navigate renting in London with confidence.
What to expect?
This event is designed to equip you with clear practical knowledge of your rights and responsibilities as private renters. By helping you understand the scope of your renting rights, we can help empower you to feel more confident dealing with landlords, letting agents and tenancy issues.
Whether you’ve been aware of different oulets of support for private renting or not, this event will introduce you to the support available from the Citizens Advice Bureau, Southwark Law Centre, as well as our ongoing KCLSU housing campaigns Halls for All and Guarantor Guarantee.
