The long-awaited London Varsity returns as King’s College London take on University College London in one of the most anticipated fixtures of the sporting calendar. Both teams have been training all year for this very moment, so expect fast-paced hockey and a fierce rivalry as two of London’s top university teams go head-to-head.

This annual varsity fixture brings together students, alumni, friends, and family for a high-energy evening of competitive sport and university pride. With supporters from both KCL and UCL in attendance, the stands will be packed and the intensity on the pitch unmatched.

The event will be ticketed and open to both students and non-students. Whether you’re a die-hard hockey fan or just there for the atmosphere, London Varsity is a must-see event.

Come down to Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre on 21st March 2026 and support KCL! Bring the noise and be part of one of the biggest fixtures of the season. You don’t need to know the rules or recognise the players — just come along, watch some quality hockey, and enjoy the atmosphere with your fellow students.

And to top it all off, join us for a highly anticipated afterparty to celebrate the hard work and dedication of our players.

• Location: Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre
• Doors open: 17:45
• Women's Fixture start time: 16:15
• Men's Fixture start time: 20:15
• Estimated end time: 22:00
• Last entry to the event is 21:00. Entry after this time may not be permitted, so attendees are advised to arrive before the start of the match.

Why buy a ticket?
London Varsity is one of the biggest fixtures of the university sporting calendar, offering an electric atmosphere, high-level hockey, and the chance to support KCL alongside fellow students, alumni, friends, and family. Whether you’re a regular supporter or just coming for the vibes, this is an unmissable event — plus an afterparty to round off the evening.

Travel Information:
The nearest Underground station is Leytonstone (Central Line), with an approximate 15–20 minute walk to the venue. Journey time from central London and KCL campuses is approximately 35–45 minutes. Attendees are strongly encouraged to travel by public transport.

Food & Drink:
Food and drink will be available to purchase inside the venue. Please do not bring any outside food and drink into the venue. 

Prohibited Items:
The following items must not be brought into the venue:

• Alcohol from outside the venue
• Glass bottles
• Large bags
• Any items deemed unsafe or inappropriate by venue staff.

Emergency Information: 
In the event of an evacuation, attendees should follow steward instructions and proceed calmly to the designated evacuation muster point, which will be clearly signposted at the venue.
