‘If music be the food of love, play on.”
And play on (/boogie) we will; join us for a night of music, mistaken identity, love triangles (more like hexagons), disco, and confetti, for friends, welcome to Illyria!
On a voyage gone awry, and unbeknownst to each other, Viola and her twin brother Sebastian navigate the revels of Illyria while believing they’ve lost one another to the sea. Disguises are donned and hearts are misplaced, as a lovesick Duke Orsino pines after steadfast Countess Olivia who swears she’ll never love again. Until she does. But who does she fall for? Letters are forged, stockings are scandalous, and dignity hangs by a delicate thread. In Illyria, nothing is quite as it seems. Servants outwit their masters, fools speak the wisest truths, grief manifests in funny ways, and love, well, what does it mean to love?
Come along and join King’s Shakespeare Company’s voyage to Illyria for a disco boogie, on the 31st March -2nd of April in Greenwood Theatre for one of Shakespeare’s most memorable romantic comedies, Twelfth Night, Or What You Will :)
