Tradition x Tomorrow - An Evening for the Future of AI Safety
Join the King’s College London Legal Tech Society for an evening on the Thames as we host our inaugural Charity Ball. We’re bringing together the next generation of legal and technical minds for a night of purpose, heritage, and a commitment to a secure technological future.
All proceeds from the evening will be donated to Arcadia Impact. Based in London, Arcadia Impact is a non-profit dedicated to reducing global catastrophic risks from AI by building a robust talent pipeline. They focus on empowering the next generation of researchers and engineers to solve the most pressing technical and governance challenges in the field.

Why It Matters
At KCL Legal Tech, we believe the next generation of legal professionals must understand the technical guardrails required to keep society safe. This event puts a spotlight on Arcadia Impact’s mission to foster the skills and community needed for AI safety breakthroughs.
Arcadia Impact drives high-impact initiatives, including:
LASR Labs (London AI Safety Research): A technical research program where teams produce peer-reviewed machine learning papers supervised by experts.
ASET (AI Safety Engineering Taskforce): Transitioning skilled engineers into full-time safety careers through real-world software projects.
AI Governance Taskforce: Developing practical policy and governance skills in partnership with leading think tanks.
