Looking to meet new people during Welcome?

Join a Meet Up and attend Welcome Fair with a group of new and returning students. Whether you’re starting at King’s, returning for another year, studying online, joining as a postgraduate, or looking for a quieter way to connect, there’s a session to help you meet people, explore the Fair together, and start building your King’s community.

You’ll meet your Meet Up group before heading to Welcome Fair together. Once there, you’ll have around 1 to 1.5 hours to explore the Fair, meet student groups and services, and get to know the people in your group along the way.

If you register for a Welcome Meet Up, you won't need to purchase an additional ticket for Welcome Fair. Your Meet Up ticket will give you entry to the Welcome Fair at your allotted time with your meet up group.

General Meet Up

A relaxed opportunity to meet new people, explore Welcome Fair together, and start making connections with fellow King’s students.

Quiet Hour Meet Up

📍 Starting at Old Billingsgate (Accessible Entrance), EC3R 6DX
⏰ 10am to 11.30am

Meet at Old Billingsgate for Welcome Fair’s Quiet Hour, with no music, reduced capacity, and a calmer environment with fewer crowds and less noise. It’s designed for students with access needs and/or those who would feel more comfortable in a quieter setting, exploring the Fair at your own pace.

Distance Learner Meet Up

⏰ 11am to 1.30pm

Whether you’re studying online, commuting to campus, or living at home, this session is a chance to meet other students with similar experiences and build your community from the start of your King’s journey.

Postgraduate Meet Up

📍 Starting at Activity Room 4, Guy's Campus
⏰ 2pm to 4.30pm

Starting postgraduate study at King’s? Meet other postgraduate taught and research students, explore Welcome Fair together, and begin building your postgraduate community. No previous connections are needed — just join your group, meet fellow postgraduate students, and start making connections.

Nursing Student Meet Up

📍 Starting at Activity Room 4, Guy's Campus
⏰ 3pm to 5.30pm

Starting Nursing at King’s? Meet fellow nursing students, explore Welcome Fair together, and start building your nursing community from the very beginning. No previous connections are needed — just join your group and start getting to know other students on your course.

Peer Meet Up: Picnic in the Park

If you book a Meet Up ticket for Welcome Fair, you'll be invited to join our Picnic in the Park on Thursday 1 October, where you can reconnect with the people you’ve met and continue building your King’s community.

Please note:

• ⚠️ If you've already registered for a Welcome Fair ticket, you won't be able to register for a Meet Up ticket (and vice-versa!). 
• 👥 Spaces for Welcome Fair Meet Ups are limited and often oversubscribed. If your plans change, please cancel your ticket so another student can join a Meet Up.
• 🎟️ Welcome Fair Tickets are non-transferable and single-use. Your ticket can only be scanned once, so please don't share it with anyone else. If your ticket is used before you arrive (for example, if it's shared in a group chat), it will no longer be valid for entry.
