Welcome to the KCL BIOCHEMISTRY SOCIETY!
Our society aims to unite students through hosting social, academic, and charity events throughout the year to create a supportive, friendly, and welcoming community for all members. We have held countless successful events in the past year, ranging from our annual boat parties on the River Thames to our iconic pub crawls around London and the inter-society STEM Ball.
In addition, we are committed to helping you advance your career and academic experience by working closely with the Biochemistry department to organise Meet The Department events, talks by Alumni and External Speakers from the Life Sciences professional industry (e.g. GSK, Takeda, Janssen), and module advising sessions from your seniors.
Our membership fee entails discounted entry to all our paid events, discounted merchandise, and early sign-up access to all events. This year, we are planning many exciting activities to make sure you make lifelong friends by the start of the year and get the most out of your membership!
Since 2017, we have grown into one of the largest and most active Bioscience societies at King’s College London, having earned Gold Society accreditation in 2022. In 2021, we also launched The Biochemist’s Print, a student-written magazine showcasing biochemistry research, which remains a proud part of our society’s history.
