Welcome to the KCL BIOCHEMISTRY SOCIETY!

Our society aims to unite students through hosting social, academic, and charity events throughout the year to create a supportive, friendly, and welcoming community for all members. We have held countless successful events in the past year ranging from our Fresher's boat party on the River Thames to our iconic pub crawls around London and inter-society STEM Ball. In addition, we are committed to helping you advance your career and academic experience by working closely with the Biochemistry department to organise Meet The Department events, talks by Alumni and External Speakers from the Life Sciences professional industry (e.g. GSK, Takeda, Janssen), and module advising sessions from your seniors.

Our new membership fee entails discounted entry to all our paid events and merchandise! Members will have special priority to our events all year long and free access to becoming a writer for our magazine. This year, we are planning many exciting activities to make sure you make lifelong friends by the start of the year and get the most out of your membership!

Since 2017, we have grown into one of the largest and most active Bioscience societies at King’s College London, having just earned Gold Society accreditation and initiating the publication of our student-written magazine, “The Biochemist’s Print” in 2021.

We're looking forward to making sure that everyone has an amazing year ahead!!

"The Biochemist's Print" Magazine & Newsletter
Our society runs a magazine featuring student-written articles that highlight groundbreaking Biochemistry research and discoveries, aimed at intriguing our peers, faculty, and friends and increasing the overall awareness of the significance of biochemistry research. We publish an issue twice a year through our Winter and Spring/Summer issues and have also featured our articles in King's Business Review.
