The Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) Society King’s College London aims to offer a tripartite view on contemporary issues and public policy questions. It hosts regular academic events with renowned figures and social events for students of all majors.
Last year, it has hosted in-depth talks and panel discussions, such as "Civil Liberty and Fundamental Rights: a Juridical Perspective" with Quentin Skinner, and "Racism in Western History of Political Thought: Locke, Jefferson, Kant and Other Racists" with Adrian Blau. It has also organised social and networking events, including the annual PPE family scheme and module selection evening. There has been collabration with societies at King's (incl. European Horizons, Politics Society, UAEM KCL), as well as outside of King's (incl. Oxford PPE Society, LSE PPE Society and the Political and Economic Development Association at Bocconi University).
This year, the society will continue to establish itself as a welcoming community for all students with interests in PPE. There will be plenty of opportunities for members to engage in a diverse range of activities, including the society's very own publication The Curr3nt and the podcast The Lion's Share.
