Welcome to King's Red Cross! We're happy you're interested in joining us. The King's Red Cross is currently a small, close-knit community, but we're big-hearted and friendly, so feel free to join us at any point of the academic year.
Although we are a newly formed society, our parent organisation, the British Red Cross, has been around for nearly two centuries. And you thought ma and pa were old! This means we will, on occasion, receive support from the British Red Cross on matters that are still new to us. For instance, if we'd like to volunteer directly in emergency relief or refugee support, we'll need their help linking us to those opportunities.
For now, as we are still in adolescence, we are not a well-funded club. What we do have, however, is compassion, ideas, and some extra time to help out the destitute living in our community.
So, if you have any of these qualities - compassion, ideas, and time - then please join us for our meetings, and let's help make London a kinder place to live in.
