We are the Dungeons and Dragons Society, or DnD Soc for short. We're a beginner-friendly club that plays the fantasy tabletop roleplaying game Dungeons and Dragons (5e, 2014)—which is a fancy way of saying we make up stories in our heads and take them out on some unsuspecting goblins we come across on our dice rolling adventures.
On a more serious note, we as a club stand for inclusivity, creativity, and companionship. We hope that having joined our society, you will not only be able to learn how to play the wonderful game that is Dungeons and Dragons but also find a place of comfort and belonging within our community.
Fun adventures, puzzles, strategic gameplay, interesting NPCs, boring NPCs, flirty NPCs (?), monsters, fighting, spells, some chaos, unforgettable quests, two term-long adventures with twists and possibly many turns.
Free weekly sessions open to EVERYONE and exclusive members-only events.

We run weekly two-hour sessions throughout the academic year at one of the KCL campuses (location, day, and time TBA—follow us on Instagram for updates!).

Newcomer-friendly: Whether it's your first time or your hundredth, you're always welcome.
Here's how we'll start off:
Taster session: An interactive introduction to DnD and how the game works.
Character building session: Create the very character that you will adventure as.
Campaign launch: Begin your epic adventure!
Experienced players: We highly recommend you join us for the character-building session so a DM can slot you into a suitable party and prepare accordingly.
We will also host a range of exciting events throughout the year, such as:
Collaborations with other societies
One-shots: Short adventures played in a single session
Workshops: For aspiring DMs and for people to learn homebrewing (creating your own items and stories).
Quiz nights: With prizes!
Members-only events: Extra stories, socials, and surprises...
