King’s College London Vocaloid Society (KCLVS) is a student-led university organisation focused on Vocaloid culture, the first of its kind in London. Its mission is to build a community for all university-aged enthusiasts of vocal synthesis technology along with its spin-off subculture, as well as producers, artists, and academics in the field.

Check out our website for links to our social media pages for the latest news, our Discord chat where members hang out online, see our society's very own Hatsune Miku design, as well as a calendar of our events!

If you’re new to Vocaloid:

Developed by Yamaha in the 2000s, Vocaloid™ is a brand of musical voice synthesis software that can “sing” when users input lyrics and melody, using pre-recorded voice samples (known as a voice bank). The characters created to promote these softwares (most famously Hatsune Miku) quickly gained popularity and grew beyond the software itself, and inspired a global, fan-driven culture of music, art, and creativity. Today, “Vocaloid” is often used as an umbrella term for the wider spin-off fandom of all vocal synthesis software, even those not under the Vocaloid™ brand.
