The Womxn in Engineering society was founded in 2023 to bring together all womxn-identifying students interested in engineering ⚙️ Ever since then, we have offered a safe space to connect with peers and professionals to foster long-lasting, meaningful relationships. Guided by the values of perseverance and open-mindedness, our society celebrates personal development by bringing tailored experiences to its members. This is more than just a network- our society is a transformative launchpad for the future changemakers of the engineering industry 🛫
Our dedication speaks for itself...
🚀🦺🛠️ We proudly host our annual industry event in collaboration with 3 other societies, where organisations such as JPMorgan, Siemens, Thales, and Ansys talk about how to enter the engineering industry. Also, we run an annual workshop in collaboration with Imperial College London, where engineers from Apple share tips for applying to the company.
🪴🎯📚 We encourage continuous learning through extracurricular technical skills workshops. We have hosted 3D printing events, a PCB workshop series, and collaborated with the MATLAB society to develop software skills.
💗👩🏻🤝👩🏾🎨 We prioritise wellbeing and fostering lifelong relationships! Our pumpkin carving competition with Engineering Society attracted a record-breaking number of people. We have also been ice skating at Somerset House, on a hike in the beautiful Kentish countryside, and we've played lots of Mafia!
👩🏫🧩✏️ We are committed to widening participation: we have been to a secondary school's STEM Club to talk about Engineering at King's, and we have ran a circuit-building workshop for the annual Spring Up programme for King's Scholars from local schools.

And the journey's only just begun! In the 2025-26 academic year, we are scheduled to provide many new opportunities for our ambitious engineers: exclusive office visits to large companies, inspirational guest speakers, and practical workshops hosted by experts in various fields 💼 In addition to this, we will extend our support to schools as we debut our Outreach Programme. Most importantly, we will continue to build a community where all womxn-identifying students with an interest in engineering can cultivate lifelong friendships 💖
Our membership is FREE! Join our society to become a part of a vibrant, inclusive community that uplifts womxn to thrive in engineering and beyond. Take a look at our linktree to follow us on 📸Instagram, 👩🎓LinkedIn, and 📽️ TikTok, and to sign up to any upcoming events- we can't wait to meet you!
