Life Drawing Society provides a space for those wanting to nurture self expression, and exists with the belief that arts and academia should be in an intimate dialogue with each other.

Life Drawing is a practice formalised during the 14th century renaissance period, but having existed effectively since prehistoric cave paintings illustrating anatomy. To this day it remains a powerful practice at developing artistic expression, and a meditative exercise with the moment of capturing the human body demanding full concentration and an opportunity to clear the mind. Our two‑hour sessions provide the opportunity to draw a nude model in dynamic poses for varied lengths of time, with a break in between and a chance at the end for participants to share their work and see what the group has created.
